Flowers, stars and a baby elephant were among the finalists for our 2016 BMDH Photo Competition.
Twenty-three works were selected to be printed, framed and exhibited in our Blacktown Cancer and Haematology Centre thanks to the generous support of Dry July.
Last year, our Dry July campaign raised more than $40,000 for our new Blacktown Cancer & Haematology Centre, funding an artwork for the courtyard, mobile devices for patients to use during treatment, music therapy, care packs for patients, and photographs for our clinics.
Congratulations to everyeone who entered and especially to our selected photographers:
In the meantime, if you’re thinking about Dry July 2016, think of us! Dry July directly benefits the well-being of adults living with cancer. All proceeds benefit our cancer services at Blacktown Hospital and Mount Druitt Hospital. Dry July does not fund research or staff positions. It provides the little extras for patients and families that makes treatment more comfortable. And it’s a chance to go booze-free, clear your head and feel better!
