CONTRIBUTE YOUR POPPIES TO OUR REMEMBRANCE DAY PROJECT

We need a thousand hand-crafted poppies to create a tribute to the anniversary of WWI at Blacktown Hospital and Mount Druitt Hospital this November.

The project is part of the 5000 Poppies initaitive, a worldwide community tribute of respect and remembrance to those who have served in all wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations, their families and their communities.

Our poppy project will create a poppy garden around the two ANZAC Memorials at Blacktown and Mount Druitt.

Patterns

Poppies can be knitted or crocheted. Poppy patterns and tutorails are available on the 5000 Poppies website:

Patterns

You can use any large poppy pattern and poppies should be mainly red. Centre colours, buttons or features are OK as long as your poppy is mainly red. We recommend 8ply red wool.

Four easy patterns (if you need them!)

Dedicate your poppy

Would you like to dedicate your poppy to a family member or friend who served? Please include their name and some details (and a photo if you have one) with your poppy donation and we will do our best to feature your story on our Facebook or Instagram page.
