Call for artists EOI online now


The award-winning Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals (BMDH) Expansion Project Arts and Cultural Program is seeking expressions of interest from artists to be part of the hospital’s Stage 2 public arts program. 

Interested artists will become part of an artist directory from which they may be contacted for various arts commissions and projects as funds become available. 

Expressions of interest are invited for the following arts practices: 

  • Sculpture
  • Community arts
  • New media
  • Photography
  • Textile
  • Print
  • Painting
  • Drawing
  • Mural
  • Mosaic
  • Mixed media. 


The program is also inviting expression of interest from artists who have an interest in training in kinetic work and 
arts/science collaborations.

ABOUT YOU

Essential qualifications for artists working on the BMDH Expansion Arts and Cultural Program are:

  • Awareness, empathy, and work ethics related to the special needs of working in hospital or health service settings.
  • Creativity and innovation. 
  • Ability to collaborate and be part of a design team.
  • Ability to comply with deadlines and budgets.
