Operating Theatres at Mount Druitt

Mount Druitt Recovery 2017

Our vision for Mount Druitt Hospital is to provide a centre of excellence for elective surgery in addition to existing hospital services.

The hospital will focus on elective surgery for the local community and the district, with opportunities for further specialisation. The theatre expansion at Mount Druitt includes a new recovery unit, pre-admission clinic and digital theatre.

A new 12-bed recovery unit opened in July 2017 at Mount Druitt Hospital. See more

Pre-Admission Clinic

The new Pre-Admission Clinic opened in May 2017 and provide pre-admission care for surgical patients in a bright, welcoming new facility on level 1 of the hospital.

In the pre-admission clinic, patients receive information about their procedure, treatment and hospital stay, and clincians conduct tests and checks e.g. blood tests, blood pressure, medical history and more.

The purpose-built clinic includes four consultation rooms for pre-admission assessment, a bright spacious waiting area, and even a new beverage bar to make patients and carers feel welcome and comfortable. See more

Digital theatre
