I believe that the success of BMDH Arts and Culture Program was directly connected to the level of engagement achieved with the local community from very early in the process. Another positive aspect is the hospital design being of a scale that is generous in space and that at the same time is not overwhelming. There is a precious feel about design details and the arts projects that make people feel valued. It enhances a positive sense of place.Marily Cintra, author
