Things are looking quite different at Blacktown Hospital with a new temporary art exhibition called Longsighted, featuring works by visually impaired artist Susan Oxenham.

Susan is blind in her right eye, and only has light perception in her left. Her works explore her perception of different eye conditions including blindess, macular degeneration and retinal conditions.

As well as brightening up our corridors, staff say it encourages visitors to think differently about eye conditions.

The works are on display at Blacktown Hospital in the corridor galleries on levels three and five. Paintings are for sale and proceeds benefit our hospitals.

The temporary exhibitions are part of our ongoing arts and culture program.
